Air Handler Cleaning
In addition to air duct cleaning services we offer complete air handler cleaning services for heavier build up of microbial growth and dirt inside the air handler, drain pan, blower motor and fan motor over time. Many individuals with severe respiratory ailments may find reducing the amount of microbial growth and dirt to be helpful to reduce the symptoms of allergies and help to alleviate aggravation of respiratory ailments.
Perhaps one of the most important components in your air handler is your evaporator coil. Once enough dirt and debris accumulate on your coil it will start to freeze up due to restricted airflow, causing your air conditioning system to stop cooling. It will also result in higher cooling costs due to your air conditioner system having to work harder. If you are constantly running into cooling issues as a result of a dirty coils you will need to have it professionally cleaned. A good way to ensure your air conditioner will keep cooling when you need it most is to be proactive and have your coils cleaned at the first sign of potentially serious build up.
Maintaining good indoor air quality all starts at the source of the air conditioning / heating (HVAC) systems air handler. One of the best things to prevent microbial growth from forming on a new air conditioning and heating (HVAC) system is to have a germicidal UV light installed in the the air handler. When you have a UV light installed in your air conditioning system air handler it protects the system after it’s been cleaned and will help prevent bacteria or microbial growth from reoccurring. When a UV light is installed it can kill bacteria, germs and fungus before it gets into your air conditioning and heating (HVAC) system, air ducts and ultimately expelled into the air you and your family breathes.
Air Sponge AC Air Filter:
The Air Sponge Filter is one of the best filters on the market today. It’s a custom made filter that is built using an aluminum frame. The Sponge Air Filter also has an electrostatic mesh layer that is custom sized to fit inside the frame. The electrostatic mesh is hot glued to the frame and will last a lifetime. This filter also has a rubber gasket seal that is attached on top of the frame so when the air conditioner is turned on the rubber gasket makes an air tight seal to eliminate bypass. No bypass means 100% seal so dust cannot get through and the air is filtered properly. The filter utilizes Aegis technology to prevent it from becoming a breeding ground for mold and fungi and reduce airborne micro-organisms by up to 85% in a single pass. These filters come with a six-month supply of replacement Pads. One of the best things about this filter kit is the pads are sprayed with an anti-microbial spray that helps eliminate dust, germs and other harmful contaminants on contact before they get into your AC system. There are many types of replacement pads you can purchase. Some are specifically made to eliminate odors and VOC’s. When you schedule one of our AC repair (indoor Air Quality) specialists to come out to properly measure your AC System we will also inspect your air conditioner for any signs of microbial growth. It is important to have a professional measure your air conditioner because there is a very tight tolerance for the metal frame and you will want to easily be able to install and remove your air filter for cleaning. This filter is custom made and will be UPS delivered to your home or office within two weeks.
